  • How long do Mini Highlands live?
    Despite their small stature, they have a lifespan matching that of full size cattle 15 - 22 years but it can be more depending on the quality of care they receive.
  • How much land is needed for a Mini Highland cow?
    The best part about micro mini and mini Highland cows is that they are very sustainable, even in small areas. One miniature Highland cow can live on under half an acre of land, and a small herd of animals could live within 1 acre. These animals have low impact on the land, therefore they don't trash their grazing source.
  • What are the benefits of owning a Mini Highland cow?
    Other than being the cutest cows on the planet, Mini Highlands have many benefits! Some of these include; - Gentle temperament - Require little maintenance - Hardy in cold environments - Take up little space / low impact on your land
  • What is a Mini Highland Cow?
    Mini Highland cows are a breed of cow characterized by their small size and furry coats. They are originated from the Scottish Highland breed, but are bred to mature exceptionally smaller.
  • Do Mini Highlands need to be brushed?
    Mini Highland cattle don't NEED to be brushed, but we highly encourage you to because it can be a great way to form a closer bond with them and they truly love to be social!
  • How much do your calves cost?
    Our waitlist calves range in prices depending on what cow and bull they are out of, color, expected size at maturity, and gender. Prices are usually in the following ranges: Heifers- $12,500 on the low end with an average $20,000 - $25,000. Our exceptional heifer calves are highly sought after. Bulls- $15,000 on the low end with an average of $30,000 - $35,000. Our exceptional bulls have sold for over $100,000 when sold through our auction platform
  • What is the size difference between Mini Highland and full sized Highland cows?
    Some people falsely claim their cattle are "mini" or "micro-mini" and we want to help you understand the difference between all sizes of Highland cattle, and what to look for when researching potential breeders. Here are the measurements you can typically expect with a mature animal (3 years of age, measured at the top of the pin bones); - Micro Mini Highlands: 36" tall and under - Mini Highlands: 36" - 42" tall - Midsized Highlands: 42" - 48" - Standard Highlands: Over 48"
